BATTLEBOT COMPETITION

The project required students to apply theoretical knowledge to create a functional and durable robot within specific weight constraints, understanding the implementation of their design as a practical component, materials selection, and fabrication process.
HYDRO OLYMPIAN COMPETITION
The competition offers contestants the opportunity to maximize materials within a cost constraint to develop this important, marketable skill and to ensure an even playing-field for every contestant who participates. Subsequently, the objective of the game relies on teamwork and communication to ensure project goals are met. These valuable tools prepare students to secure essential funding for capstone projects and provide leverage when applying for employment positions.

This design contest consisted of students building wood stick towers to be tested with simulated earthquakes. Mechanical engineering students were thoroughly challenged to design structures that balance height with stability, applying structural analysis principles in a practical context.
